Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Negotiations
Dear Hawaiian Flight Attendants:
On March 6th , Hawaiian Airlines announced its intention to acquire the 787‑9 Dreamliner aircraft with delivery of the aircraft slated to begin in 2021. The announcement triggered the contractual requirement to negotiate staffing and other conditions for the 787‑9 aircraft.
We have had to interrupt our scheduled, ongoing contract negotiations and are now in our third full week of talks to reach a deal on the new aircraft.
Management has indicated that they would like to see the 787‑9 deal reached by Friday, May 4th . This past weekend, the pilots, represented by ALPA, reached their agreement with management.
